I've always been into editing and filming, but I've never gone beyond imovie, which is really basic regarding what you can do. We had the opportunity to meet with two experts in PREMIER, an amazing editing program that allows you to demonstrate creativity in every way, so we will constantly use it in the Innovation Academy. It all began through the basics, which for us were still hard. Josue, the teacher, gave us a detailed lesson about inserting clips, selecting what you needed, effects for fading, video effects, etc. What stood out the most for me about the basics from premier was that it is extremely precise when it comes to selecting certain footage of the video. With a special tool known as cutter, we were able to select exactly what we needed, making the image or video seem as an original one. Also an incredible step was how you could include images on top of images, placing two videos in the same screen or even a logo in the bottom of a video. The abundant quantity of effects and facilities this program had were amazing, and even though there was a lot of things going around the screen, it was easy to manage it because you only had to focus in certain tools. If you are interested in having any type of audiovisual classes you can go to their studio named LUDICA and maybe you will finally find your passion. | The second part of the lesson was about the Green or Chroma screen, which was spectacular. The most important part of this lesson was that in order to use the green screen you need to film the character with the same angles, colors and movement as the video or image you would then replace by the green screen. Basically the green screen is used for everything, it is the best way to give effects that look real, and that are shocking for the audience. When using the green screen you need to make sure that the screen has equal amount of light everywhere, so that when you replace it with image in premier using the keying effect, followed by the ultra keying and finally the color option, the background is easily deleted. I had an amazing time during the lesson, being 100% engaged. I finally noticed the difficulty in editing such as in movie or series, were you need to spend days and even months editing for a perfect product. |
