-- C R E A T I O N --Over the past weeks, I've been investing lots of time in my "Final" Learning Presentation. In order to start I had to complete a tough step, selecting a theme. As I thought in several ideas that could fit my topic I decided to focus on how the most important aspect of an economy -- either robust or small-- is the people who manage it and live in it. With this thought in mind, I linked the process of creation to the golden circle, so with both of this ideas I started developing the POL, fulfilling the theme through a deep explanation of the entire process following the golden circle. |
I was extremely concerned about one component of my POL: MY THEME. Not only my theme was confusing to me, but it was hard to interpret for the audience. Because I wanted my keynote and presentation to be organized and actually explain my topic through and innovative and authentic way, I went all the way back and I began from zero. I changed my theme. At first, I wasn't convinced about this idea, because it's tuesday, and my presentation is coming up thursday, so I was scared that I wouldn't finish it. However, as I started going over the concepts of my presentation and the media, I noticed that by having a structure and theme everything worked faster. I was able to understand my presentation and my idea perfectly, which allowed me and facilitated the process of creation. It was a way to organize myself and actually understand what I was trying to say. At the end, I changed my theme to PEOPLE, and the different aspects of peele that build up a community. I'm excited to share my learning on Thursday but I'm really nervous about the presentation. I still need to finish my POL and practice it a couple of times to nail the presentation on thursday. | ✎ ✄ ✔ |
R E F L E C T I O N As a side note, in class we developed a list of takeaways form the practice POL's. This list will definitely be helpful in order to organize my final presentation and what concepts I should include . It's always important to reflect individually and as a class after every presentation in order to pull out things that could have improved and things that you believe worked really nice. In fact, it is vital to improve your next presentation and be aware of what you need to work on in order to satisfy your audience. |
