"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. | Just think of it this way. You wake up at 7:00 am, with the sole purpose of recharging energies for the day: you drink a glass of orange juice. You only have 2 oranges, but you NEED to fill in the entire glass, therefore you squeeze the orange until the very last drop. That´s exactly what I´m doing at work. As you extract the juice from the orange, I squeeze learning opportunities at my workplace, MegaPlaza. #LearningAtTheOffice This is one of them ↴ |
Interesting... According to Arellano Marketing (considered one of the best companies in Peru working with market analytics), at least for Peru, divining social classes in 4 stereotypical boundaries, A B C & D is inadequate in relation to the economic and social growth that Lima has undergone in the last couple of years. Rolando Arellano, founder of Arellano Marketing, mentions that the ideal division encapsulates people that have a similar life style (most important), a particular vision of the future, and coinciding beliefs. There are 6 groups that fall into this division, where 2 are quite typical: sophisticated (mostly rich and modern/ both male &female) and resigned (mostly poor and traditional/ both male &female); however, within this boundaries there are progressive (male), modern (female), adapted (male) and conservative (female) lifestyles.
- Sophisticated (8%): Mostly young people who's monthly income is greater than most part of the population. They are modern, educated, and they value their personal image, that's why they tend to buy the newest versions, following tendencies and maintaining their social status.
- Progressive (21%): Men who are seeking for success, they want progress. Most progressivists are employers and workers, they are hard-working and tend to be practical, looking up to produce as fast as possible. They keep on dreaming.
- Modern (25%): Women that are seeking for something more, other than just their family. They tend to transmit an elegant image as they want to be recognized by society, purchasing because of the brand, as well as for comfort.
- Adapted (20%): Men that are family oriented who value their social status. Their main aspiration is to have a strong voice in their cohorts. This category tends to associate with employees, workers, or independent medium class activities
- Conservative (19%): Women with several religious believes that focus on their family. Generally, they are considered traditional as they still believe that men occupy the most important role when it comes to taking family decision. Makeup and elegancy tend to happen only on special occasions.
- Resigned (7%): Both male and female with few economic resources, mostly from indigenous origin; they resign to their luck. They are generally older than the average population, thus, prefer a simple life with few changes, as they are not comfortable when taking risks.
