✄ Some Case Scenarios At Work ☏
|
- Recently, I had a meeting with my boss and 4 producers to organize a show. Even though I had "no voice" in terms of how much money they were planning on investing, or even where I wanted the location to be, I could give my personal opinions -- valuable opinions applying the knowledge I've possessed in the past weeks. Gaining self-confidence allows me to participate in conversations, as I'm not ashamed if an answer is wrong or if a question is worthless responding, at the end, I'm here to learn. Being active at the office allows much more than just learning content, you are able to interact with people that are knowledgable about certain topics just by being gentile and showing interest in what they do. Honestly, the best way to learn is by talking to expertise in a certain field, what comes out of their mouth is nearly impossible to find up on google -- it´s not as simple as just googling it.
With no further due, week three at my internship is coming to a close, and one of the major aspects that I've been up to, as I mentioned above, has been the importance of adaptability. Being adaptable to different environments with widely-spread age ranges has been a challenge, but one that has allowed me to grow both as a person and as a learner. Being adaptable enriches your capability of independency, which enables your brain to think and work differently when you have the pressure of a boss, no grades, and assignments that you NEED to hand in for the better of the company. | “If you’re not stubborn, you’ll give up on experiments too soon. And if you’re not flexible, you’ll pound your head against the wall and you won’t see a different solution to a problem you’re trying to solve.” |
