It's a hodgepodge of time, stress, and vacations, that shape-up the worst combination for an acing performance in school. As long as I can remember, the cumulative pressure of getting a 6.0 for personal benefit, vs. the motivation of taking advantage of last weeks learnings seems as a pain in the back, impossible to accomplish both. It's an undefined list of assignments that makes it nearly a fairytale to stick to the idea that you'd have time to go back and edit a 2,000 words outline -- leading the amalgamation of tasks to entail a reaction that's opposite to the intended action. |
As I was excited about my POL and the idea of expressing my journey at BlendZ through a good to great theme, I crafted a descriptive and purposeful outline that would entail the most inspiring aspects about myself and how over time, I had been developing some kind of reputation at BlendZ. Nevertheless, as a business cohort, there was a point of reflection that stroke most of the POL ideas; we noticed that the essence of showing BlendZ creation through the presentations was not being conveyed through the personal reflections that we were producing individually. With this said, there where plan changes --I hesitated--. In the new overall vision of the POL, instead of focusing purely on reputation, we where dividing into our diversified directorships, focusing specifically on what you had added to the company through your role, and developing your ideas as you wished -- keeping in mind that after the presentation the audience had to leave with a clear image of how branding, for instance, worked at BlendZ.
Going back to the beginning, I kept positive with the idea that I could modify certain previously written down words from my first outline and it would still work perfectly; honestly because I felt I had no chance to dedicate six extra hours to the POL: other upcoming tasks where on their way.
But who would have thought that in such as killer week, I would en up spending most of my working hours polishing a completely different idea. As much as I liked the original theme and the starting outline I had selected, as I iterated for about one week, new connections, thoughts, and examples started to arise, taking a 360 turn with the POL. Such is the strength of iterations that I was inspired to revise what I had done, otherwise I would have created an incoherent presentation; killing the vibe.
It's a barely simple concept: the more times you re-read your Spanish Paper 2 final exam, the less spelling and grammar mistakes you'll have (less accents missing), therefore, the more times you go over an idea, the easier it will be to notice how you can make it better, giving as a result a significant improvement in comparison to the one you had at first. Originals are not always the best when it comes to personal reflections.
