| Today, I got to contact five different prestigious architectural magazines. However, apart from the emails sent, I also prepared different folders for each magazine with two or one project, including photographs, floor plans, and descriptions. Once I had every folder prepared I sent them through we transfer, basically as an attachment to the email. |
Other magazines such as Mark, replied the email saying that they would evaluate our projects. Both of this emails excited me because I felt that they cared about the projects we were interested in publishing in their magazines. I felt really valuable in the company (Metropolis) because we were contacting international magazines that are a "BOOM" in the world of architecture, being a huge benefit for our brand and image.
It is very important being active and keeping contact with the magazines because they all have different visions and objectives, so while one could agree with the work you send them, others might not. In other words, you can't think that because one magazine loved your work and told you that it was perfect, |
The main focus of Metropolis at this point is to start rebranding themselves, so they need to be constantly connecting with world wide architectural online magazines. At this point we are selling a product to our customers (the magazines) and that's the main reason why the selection of different items such as pictures is vital, you are SELLING your production to someone else, something you like. If you believe in something they will as well, and that's exactly how communication needs to work, if you want something you keep contact even if it's tough to fulfill the wishes of the company you are contacting.
