Today was a fun day. I was able to work again with Auto CAD by saving different project plans as PDF's. Since I have been working with this program more than once (since I started the internship), I'm much comfortable using it, which means that I ask for less help, and when I delete a useful piece or click in an unknown button, I know how to fix it. This program is very engaging because it has infinite functions, and each time I have the opportunity to work with it, I discover new things. The projects I worked on today where: | WORKING WITH AUTO CAD! |
Being respectful Being respectful is not only important when you talk to people or even when you are about to commit an action, it is a way to show others that you care. In marketing, RESPECT, is necessary to come to an agreement or even to communicate with others that are associated with your company. When you need to contact people asking for favors, questions, or even concerns, you need to treat them with the best attitude possible for them to understand what you are looking for. Because there is so much competition now a days, it's more probable that they will accept someone who reveres others versus someone who thinks they are "the boss". In my case, the emails sent were respectful. Metropolis dedicated time to write formal emails that showed a lot of courtesy and amiability, and that reflects in their image. Because they are so polite when contacting other users, probably, people receiving their emails are happy to work with them. Over time this becomes a factor that represents the company, in other words they are MARKETING themselves as being humble when speaking up. | Trying to learn When you are NEW to something, the best way to appreciate the moment is by: TRYING TO LEARN. Many times, you are offered an opportunity where you go with the "PERFECT IDEA", you believe your own thoughts. But then, you realize that what you thought, is not happening, so you instantly block your mind and you "stop wanting to learn" supposedly: you don't like it anymore. That's exactly WHAT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. You should always try to extract the most of something even if you imagined it another way, because you can never go back to THAT MOMENT; where you wished you had learned. In my case, I came to the internship with the idea of marketing the company, and because of some reasons there were some days were I couldn't work on that, so they gave me other assignments related to something else, architecture. If I would have had the "wrong mentality" probably I would have learned NOTHING about architecture, not even the basics of it. Yet, now that I've had the chance to experience different programs, I'm happy to say that ARCHITECTURE, has been added to my list of careers. |
